Geeking out my commute

Friday, July 29th, 2005

So everyday i play this stupid game with traffic. Is it gonna be the Lincoln? Is it gonna be the Holland? Is it gonna be the GWB? Like a news junkie with ADD, i’m constantly flipping between 880 and 1010 to get the traffic report.

Well, that got a bit tiring. I need to know straigt away which one i’m gonna take. So I wrote a little script to go figure out the traffic, so i can check here to see which one i should take.

The Collective IQ of all 15 people that work in the DMV that i visited today probably is very close to 30 or so. Stand on line one, get stamped, stand in line 2, sit down, wait 45 mins, stand in line 3, smile for the camera, stand in line 4, and for the price of $11 you’ll get a new license and a month’s worth of frustration.

ARGHHHH! Oh well, I’m legit now. I am legal to drive in NJ (hmm…do i live in NY though?)
:)
And an example of this great ID of ours:

Steve’s new fetish

Friday, July 22nd, 2005

Apparently my little brother Steve thinks that “a cell phone makes a man”.

Steve, just because you are getting this phone: Steve's new thing

…Doesn’t make you more of a man. In fact, maybe you are compensating for something else????

And I would furthermore like to add one thing. Steve ALWAYS gets what he wants…it started back in the day with Tennis raquets…and then cars…now apparently it extends to phones, gatorade, and golf shirts.

Where do you play soccer in NYC?

Thursday, July 21st, 2005

Well, you would think that its really hard to play soccer in a place as dense as NYC.

Not true in fact…Pier 40 fields can be seen from the air in this pic Pier 40 Fields.

Soccer on Water…coolness

Day one in Beautiful but boring and blase San Jose

Monday, July 18th, 2005

Maybe i’m just cranky…or maybe the airlines should start seriously considering drugs and painkillers when they tell customers that a 6 hour flight is delayed 3 hours. Is it me? I don’t think so.

Arrived in San Jose today…don’t come here if you don’t have a car. There is no way to get anywhere.

This is my first attempt at getting this blog going. I’m trying to see if this works better than a static HTML homepage.
