Health-care IT, gain efficiencies. The sector lags
most others in IT spending and their operations are
currently people-heavy. The jobs lost by whatever we
create can be shifted to maintenance of my yacht.

Arbitrary mechanical, every-day use items, kinda like
the stuff from skymall. (remember my wannabe patent on
the “get-your-car-out-of-ice-device”?)
-You ever push a stroller? If you’re tall, you have
to hunch over. Wouldn’t adjustable handles be cool?
-You ever push a stroller with a cold baby in it?
Could you generate electrity from the pushing to power
an electric blanket?

Life-improving devices for the sick, elderly, or
whatever.
-I had this idea for helping the deaf communicate
orally. What if tone and voice texture could be
depicted using a visual scheme? And then this could
be merged with speech recognition software. The idea
is that (perhaps) the deaf can feel what they’re doing
with their vocal organs but don’t hear the sound as
feedback. If they were able to receive visual
feedback that would tell them whether to lower or
increase pitch or volume or modify other vocal
characteristics, they may be able to speak more
effectively.

Inflatable/expandable sex furniture. The “marital
aids” are useful, but if you live in an apartment,
wouldn’t it be nice to be able to stow them somewhere?
-Pure air filler may not be that stable. What about
some type of material that turns into a viscous gel
when water is added? And then maybe it dries out and
loses volume.
